Apples (Granny Smith)

Another common, large apple and mildly sour yet with a refreshing taste. Suitable for long-term storage.

Apples (Golden Delicious)

Sweet like honey, ideal for deserts. Grown in the mild climates from South of Serbia.

Apples (Red Delicious)

A common apple, sweet, iconic in shape and red in colour. One of the most sort after apples.

Peach

Juicy, sweet and rich in vitamins and minerals. Large, healthy fruit. Best served fresh, but can be used as a juice, as well as a type of cosmetic.

Nectarine

Like its Peach cousin, rich in vitamins and minerals. Ideal for those with diets focused on low calories, best served during the summer.

Apricot

Excellent example of vitamin A, tastes best during summer. Otherwise, can be dried or squeezed to made into a juice, gin or for brandy.

Pear

Rightly named ‘gift from the Gods’, highly nutritious, ideal for health conscious. Best served fresh, can be used for juices as well as brandy.

Plum

The most common fruit in Serbia, served fresh, great for jams, compotes and of course brandy. Can be dried or frozen for long-term preservation.

Cherry

Ancient plant, widespread throughout Serbia. Sweet, juicy and healthy, ripe in spring ready to be consumed starting with the summer months.

Frozen Raspberry

The so-called ‘Queen’ of Serbian agriculture. One of the most healthy fruit type which can be frozen and delivered throughout the world.

Frozen Blackberry

Tasty and healthy, can be served as-is or processed. Can be used in the confectionary industry, as a juice, jam and compote.

Frozen Cherry

One of the most popular types of fruits. Best used for fruit juices, jams and compote.

Frozen Strawberry

Like the fresh Cheery, herald prior to summer, sweet, tasty and healthy. Best used for juice and jam production.

Frozen Blueberry

Immediately recognizable as a common antioxidant. Best used for juice and jam production.

Dried Plum

Another very common fruit in Serbia, best used for juice, jam and brandy production.

Carrots

A great source of vitamin A. Commonly used for soups, juices and other meals throughout the year.

Beetroot

Commonly known as a form of medicine, not to mention as a rare type of vitamin and mineral. Commonly used for burgers around the world.

Cabbage

Top source of a vitamin and mineral, commonly used in most types of salads.

Onion

Can be used for most types of meals. Known as a form of anti-bacteria fighter. Ideal for long-term storage throughout the year.

Potato

Used in so many meals, from a side dish to stews. Ideal for long-term storage throughout the year.

Tomato

Known by chefs the world over as one of the most important ingredients in a meal, whether it be fresh, dried or as a sauce.

Capsicum

True source of vitamin C with many known minerals that’s also high in taste. Can be served fresh, grilled as a side dish.

Cucumber

Commonly used in salads or even cosmetics as a rich source of vitamins and minerals.

Zucchini

Very rich source of vitamins and minerals, rare but very commonly used in summer dishes in salads or served grilled.

Global Berry Congress Amsterdam

Heartberry sent a delegation to the Global Berry Congress in Amsterdam during April 2014.

There were over 360 delegates from 30 country’s that attended the largest Berry conference in the world.

The conference was an opportunity to understand first-hand the latest trends in produce, as well as an opportunity to network with potential future suppliers.
